A busy day of weather for us here in Pana on this Tuesday. We start the day off with a Wind Advisory until 3 PM this evening. Winds will be gusting to 45-50 mph across the area. Be sure to deflate those inflated Christmas decorations and secure anything that could be blown into the neighbors yard.
A few strong severe thunderstorms will be possible this evening ahead of a strong cold front . The Storm Prediction Center has the Pana area in a 1 of 5 Marginal risk as of 7:00 AM this morning. Strong/damaging winds will be the main threat, but a tornado can’t be ruled out given the shear strength. The best timeframe for severe storms will be between 6 PM and 9 PM.
