Light Snow Monday Night

Many locations around and South of the Pana area picked up there first snowfall of the 2022-2023 Winter season on Friday night. Some locations in Eastern Illinois picked up 1-3” while locations along I-70 picked up 3-6”! Pana may have missed out on that round with only light snow showers, we have another shot at picking up some light snow Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Models have been in general agreement that a light snow event will impact Central Illinois and the Pana area on Monday night. This is expected to be light and not like what some locations picked up Friday night. Current forecast calls for up to 1” of snow over the area with potential for 1-2”. WIth this being the first accumulating snow for Pana this winter season its important to take your time while travilng and leave early to account for slick travel.

How much: Up to 1” expected with up to 2” possible.
