A few shots at snow

It’s mid November and we have a legitimate shot at our first accumulating snow of the 2022-2023 Winter Season.

The first round of accumulating snow will likely miss the Pana area to the South bring only a few snow showers to the area overnight Friday into Saturday morning. Another chance for light snow will be late Saturday Morning into Saturday evening and accumulation is not expected this far North. There is a small chance that this system over performs and brings a light dusting to the Pana area.

Our next round and best chance for any accumulating snow comes Monday night into Tuesday morning. While confidence is increasing that we see snow showers and potential accumulations, models are not in the best of agrement on how much snow the Pana area will see. One thing to note is that the latest trend is showing an increase in QPF and that would increase snowfall totals for the area. Will be watching Monday night into Tuesday morning close as it could be our first snowfall of the year.
